Completing the imagined trilogy of his 2 eps (Bobby Fischer and Stasi) and preceded by Montecarlo track included in the recent compilation “Pegamentos Vol.2“, Mario Martinez, the name behind Motivado, gives us “Profiterol“, production in which he completes and expands the sound he’s been developing these years through EPs, remixes and infallible live shows, and in which he dares to less obvious structures and why not say, darker structures into the characteristic language of disco house.
Starting from the recognizable elements in his music, Motivado accentuates the house pulse, highlights the arpeggios, lavishes arrangements and builds melodies that through the duration of these 3 tracks endow a tension we had not tasted before in Martinez’s productions, which translates into mysterious tracks for the dance floor.
Seconded by Pablo Muñoz (De Janeiros‘ half) in mix and additional production, “Profiterol” shows Motivado focused on achieving a personal language that has already shown different angles in this one and previous productions, leaving the door open for what it could be a long play development or any production that meets all of his facets, projecting even higher his upstroke as a musician.
