Shades of Matias Aguayo at his best in the innovation and fun displayed on this EP Looking forward to hearing more from AyeAye
Favorite track: SAYA.
Carlos Reinoso is one of the most restless and prolific characters on chilean independent scene. Musician, artist and collector, Reinoso has developed his career since independence, by producing and releasing albums through their own label Horrible Registros, and collaborating with national and international magazines either as an illustrator or writer. Musically, he's been part of important musical projects such as the iconic electronic-experimental combo Mostro, with which publishes three albums ((“HR=01”(2003), “Consumidos por pájaros”(2006), “Libre para regurgitar la interperie”(2011)) getting to perform at some very important festivals (Vive Latino, Lowlands, Nrmal, among others), and being the support band of Matias Aguayo on several dates of his 2013 European tour. Reinoso also remains collaborator for Cómeme label, producing the radio show "La noche de los discos vivientes", in which it rescues the chilean and southamerican musical heritage.
In late November 2014, and after the creative recess in which plunges Mostro, Reinoso decides to give life to AyeAye, a project which makes its debut in the Discos Pegaos catalog by presenting his "SaYAa" EP. The AyeAye's artistical approach include both exploration and rhythm mutations and its variants through the use of elements of electronic music and executing instruments both analog and digital, such as using vocal treatments through pedal effects, suggesting gibberish, who deeply suit rhythms with attractive intonations, and where both Aymara and Portuguese dictionaries emerge. At times AyeAye reaches high levels cadence and mystery, as in the five minutes of the kraut-ish "KUsAÑA PrA MOoVeR"; or at other times gets to shine with full ease as in the splendid balearic journey of "WILA Mas QuE MoRAnDO".
Whatever the place on which Aye Aye stands, "SaYAa" EP is undoubtedly the perfect introduction to the complex and deep imagination of one of the most fertile minds of Chilean experimental scene.

I was brought here after listening to a live performance of Makaya's on you tube. I instantly loved the song Holy Lands so much that I had to see if the album version was the same rendition as the live one. Then I listened to the whole album! Universal Beings is a just a groove... It's a mix of traditional and something new, very nice. pandr1900
Angel,
I heard your interview with Jason Woodbury on Aquarium Drunkard's "Transmissions" podcast today. It was truly remarkable and touched my heart. I bought this album immediately afterward and am so grateful to you for this nourishing music in these strange, trying days. I hope I can time my next trip to Chicago to be able to see you perform live. Thank you! Michael Feltes
