With “Stasi” EP on the streets, we came to Discos Pegaos’ tenth reference, and so we start a new cycle by editing the second EP of Mario Martinez (a.k.a. Motivado), and strengthening by it, the work of all our label artists.
After the release of Bobby Fischer EP, some remixes and several live performances, based on a prominent synthesizer and drum machine live set, Martinez comeback is reloaded with 3 new tracks , all of them strongly charged of tasteful rhythms and exquisite melodies. By gettin deeper on his disco and boogie influence, and maintaining the flavor of his first EP, Stasi finds his richness on a precious synth layers work and pulsating cosmic arpeggios, all those firmly tied to powerful basslines and dancefloor solutions. The undisputed hit of the tryad, “Ferrer”, is highlighted as the single that we were expecting from Motivado; arpeggio waterfalls flying over a robust house beat: an irresistible dancefloor delight.
This whole release has been prepared for several months, and inside that intense process, a very relevant role was played on by the production work of chilean electronic duo De Janeiros, who take the role of sound engineers, but they also was the lighthouse for Motivado’s ideas, adding details to the tracks and polishing the sound, becoming this EP some of with an exquisite and elegant sound treatment.
On the development of a personal language as a producer, full of global references, but so unique on the way of resolve his tracks, Motivado is already positioning as one of the key artists of our label, and equally on his tracks and his live performances, he’s giving the best of his talent to the emergent local electronic scene.
