This has been a great year for Motivado, producer of the house, with already two EPs (“Stasi” and “Bobby Fischer”) and a music video for his single “Ferrer”, his infectious beats have managed to conquer many of Santiago’s dancefloors.
With no intention of slowing down, he presents a new proposal in collaboration with his former partner, Kinetica -Emiliana Araya’s musical alias- who, meanwhile, has delivered an excellent second album this year “II” (Dilema Industria), consisting of seven pieces of vocal games, arrangements of bronzes and exquisite electronics, elegantly bringing experimental beats production to a level not previously known.
Motivado and Kinetica met each other when they formed Gen’s band, accompanying singer’s rhymes with a mix of their particular visions of electronic music. That mutual interest led them to devise at the time the work we’re witnessing today.
The track is planned from the start of its engineering to make us dance, mixing Motivado’s tropical disco climate and Kinetica’s nighttime misterious vocals. Stressing on the idea of dancing, two remixes are included, one by producer Janaki (Discos Pegaos), who brings out the nocturnal spirit of the original with epic-hypnotic arpeggios progressions. And another by Imaabs (Diamante Records), who emphasizes the rhythmic side, taking the track to his own getto-house territory.
“Hoy quiero” emerges as the first of many collaborations that producers plan to deliver in the future.
