With more than a decade of career, the producer, musician, DJ and fundamental part of the outstanding label Discos Pegaos, releases a dense and minimal personal binnacle. The amplification of the internal in overwhelming world contexts, give life to 9 tracks in which the chilean producer discovers new structures and methodologies to develop electronic music.

One of the most captivating electronic acts in the region unfolds its complexities in an eagerly awaited second LP. After the publication of "Cobalto" in 2017, one of the best Chilean albums of that year, the producer and musician gives way to the successor: it is "La Ilusión", a album from which we already knew the singles "Córdoba" , "Consuelo" and "Radiantes", with a clip by Rosario González.

Now we can fully immerse ourselves in the experience of "La Ilusión", a "very personal electronic record, which through its rhythmic language and heavy atmospheres tries to capture the alienation and neurosis of our times, from the intimate of the personal to the political, and vice versa", explains one of the heads of Discos Pegaos, who unfolds his method through 9 tracks, one of them together with chilean artist Maifersoni: the track called "Visitante".

Hope, the possibility of a future and the space for a yearning are mixed with deception, mirages and the simulation of a reality that does not hold, the void itself. Nine tracks created in Barcelona, between September 2019 and December 2020, which were in the middle of the chilean social outbreak and the global pandemic.

Darkness and light, real and fictitious, soundly decorate an album with a minimal character created with a laptop as the main tool; a process that allowed Motivado to deploy processes and creativity, breaking out of the hardware fetish. The circumstances of the quarantine enhanced a decision that leaves as a result a dark and dense sound, linked to the mood of the entire world, the transverse uncertainty and dystopias everywhere as a result of the pandemic and the chilean social outbreak.

"If the work on "Cobalto" was very intuitive and done quickly, now I was able to think a lot about each step I took. Stylistically, it is an album that has a lot of searching for different rhythms and a wider range in the speed of the tracks, more vertigo on its peaks and thicker on its descents", Motivado deepens.

A new stage in the life of the musician, who records his mental and emotional process in this electronic binnacle. A reflection on mental alienation, psychological disorder and helplessness as a sign of the times. The tangible proof of the producer's ability to give coherence to long-winded stories, in which experimentation gives a clue to incipient and powerful ways of making electronic music.
